Behavior within the Discord Server

1.1 Profiles should be free from offensive content 

1.2 No posting NSFW content 

1.3 Discriminatory language will not be tolerated within any channel 

1.4 No spamming 

1.5 No advertising without permission 

1.6 No religious or political discussion 

Behaviour In-Game

2.1 All rules from section 1 apply here 

2.2 Using any cheats or exploits is not allowed 

2.3 Trolling or griefing will not be tolerated 

2.4 Using any software or hardware to modify height during a game is not allowed 

2.5 Playspacing is not allowed 

2.6 You may crouch as low as is reflected in the player model. A good reference is sitting down 

2.7 Any form of network manipulation is not allowed 

2.8 You are responsible for ensuring the best possible internet connection 

2.9 Upon dying you are allowed to comm what you see without moving 

2.10 The 50 cal is not banned, but the scope must be remain on the gun unaltered 

2.11 If you suspect a player in the match is an alt for another player you must report it to the mods 

2.12 Communincation is essential to comepetitive environments, make sure you are giving the best possible info to your teammates. (Further outlined in Section about Communication) 

Readying for a match

3.1 You may ready for a match by either using the buttons located in the designated channel or the slash command 

3.2 Once the queue reaches ten players a match will be generated, you will have three minutes to accept the match 

3.3 After the match is accepted Team A will ban three maps, then Team B will ban two maps, Team A will pick a map, and Team B will pick a side 

3.4 Once the embed with the match info is sent in the final channel everyone has 5 minutes to make it into the match barring technical issues 

3.5 Any technical issues are at a moderator's discretion to punish or not 

3.6 If a player is not in the game in time you may ping moderators to help with the situation 

Match Format

4.1 A single match of Search and Destroy will be played according to the sides and map determined through picks and bans 

4.2 You may not change map or sides without moderator approval 

4.3 Competitive mode must be enabled and bots disabled 

4.4 Before the games starts each team should be in oculus party chat, discord may be used if it becomes easier 

4.5 All teammates are expected to communicate effectively, meaning that all comms should be relevant to game being played 

4.6 If the server that is joined is not in the correct region for the best average ping any player may call a vote to end as long as 10 seconds has not passed in the pistol round 

4.7 After the match has been played one player from each team should submit their team's score by using the win or loss button pinned in the match channel 

4.8 After both teams have submitted a score both teams should accept the score using the button sent 

4.9 If incorrect scores are submitted please contact moderators so they can fix the game's score 

4.10 When using a custom server if your team is not ready and the other team starts the match, then a player should use the suicide button in the menu to signal as such. Starting the game again once the first round has started, is not allowed otherwise and will be treated as a major action. 

Abandoning a Match

5.1 If you enter a game and find you can no longer you should abandon by using /abandon 

5.2 You cannot abandon after a team has won 6 rounds 

5.3 If the game has already started you should inform your team and call a vote to end the match provided no team has won 6 rounds 

5.4 If a player disconnects and is gone for more than three consecutive rounds then the team should contact the moderators and have them force abandon the player. The 6 round rule applies to when the player disconnected. ie if a player disconnects at 5-5 and does not return they can still be abandoned by a moderator 

Cooldowns

6.1 A cooldown is given upon abandoning or failing to accept a match 

6.2 The following order applies: 30 minutes, 8 hours, 1 day, 2 days, 4 days, 8 days, and will continue to double after that 

6.3 Each time a cooldown is applied the player's ban counter increases by one with no limit 

6.4 The ban counter will reduce by one every 7 matches or after two weeks whichever comes first 

Determination of cooldowns

7.1 There are two main types of cooldowns, minor and major. A minor cooldown is applied automatically after abandoning a match or failing to accept. A Major cooldown is applied by moderators if the player's actions fall under majorly disruptive defined later in the rules. 

7.2 Any cooldown may have an mmr punishment associated with it 

7.3 Any repeated minor actions will have further cooldowns escalated to major actions 

7.4 If you receive three warnings for any action you will receive a cooldown for it 

7.5 Recordings may be required to aid the moderation team in determining guilt, failure to provide any recording will be an admission of guilt 

7.6 In regards to recordings, we understand that recording may be difficult on quest and the moderation team will assist you in finding a solution that does not affect performance greatly 

Examples of minor actions

8.1 Verbal Abuse 

8.2 Minor griefing eg; Team Killing 1 friendly on purpose, Throwing the bomb out the map, Not defusing the bomb 

8.3 Inappropriate Oculus or Discord profiles 

8.4 A single incident of use of play space-altering software to gain an advantage that does not result in a game-changing outcome 

8.5 A single instance of play spacing 

8.6 Starting a vote kick on any player 

Examples of major actions

9.1 Targeted harassment of a player or players 

9.2 Major griefing eg. Killing multiple friendlies on purpose, throwing a match 

9.3 Posting NSFW content within the discord 

9.4 In-game bug abuse 

9.5 Exploiting 

9.6 Repeated use of play space-altering software to gain an advantage or use of play space-altering software to influence the outcome of a game. Purposeful submission of false scores 

9.7 Using the /abandon command to block submission of unfavorable match scores 

9.8 Kick a player from the game 

9.9 Falsely calling a vote to end a match 

9.10 Multiple instances of play spacing or use of playspacing to change the outcome of a match 

Actions that will lead to permanent bans

10.1 Any use of outside hardware or software to aid gameplay 

10.2 Use of any alt or smurf account, both accounts will be banned 

10.3 Consistent violation of major actions or minor actions escalated to major actions 

10.4 Consistent violations of the rules regarding behaviour in the discord server 

Server Selection Rules

11.1 The server determined by the bot should be played 

11.2 If after (ask boris) re rolls the next closest server should be played. ie NAC instead of NAE 

11.3 When Shack MM gains its own custom servers the one assigned should always be played barring technical issues 

Communication

12.1 All players must give comms to the best of their ability. 

12.2 Requests for silence or limited comms by other players must be respected especially in any 1vx situations 

12.3 No unecessary comms may be given including, eating noises, any sounds made that are avoidable such as whistling, and any other noises/sounds that are not relevant to the game  

12.4 Unecessarily loud comms are also not allowed ie. screaming consistenly throughout the game 

12.5 Being Mute is also not allowed, as comms are required to be able to play 

12.6 If you repeatedly have to mute due to your playspace requiring it, moderators have discretion to apply cooldowns 

12.7 Repeated violations of this section will result in cooldowns being applied 

Note about Moderator Actions

13.1 All moderator actions are final unless appealed 

13.2 If you feel targeted by any moderator please make a dispute-moderator ticket to talk with the admins
